Spiritforged Arrives: Why a Second Set Is a Big Deal for a Young Card Game

A card game's second set is always a milestone. The first set proves the game exists; the second set proves it has a future. Riftbound's Spiritforged — the follow-up to Origins — is now out in Simplified Chinese, and the Jumbo Booster Box at $75 is the fullest way to open it.

What a Second Set Changes

New sets do three things for a young game, and Spiritforged is no exception:

More deck options. A second card pool means new strategies, new synergies, and new reasons to build decks you couldn't build before. For players, that's the lifeblood of the game — fresh ideas to test at the table.

More collecting depth. Origins gave collectors a foundation. Spiritforged adds a second layer: new art to chase, new showcase treatments, new foils. Collectors who started with Origins now have a reason to keep going, and newcomers get two sets' worth of history to explore.

A signal of momentum. Games that keep releasing sets keep their communities alive. A second set tells players and collectors alike that Riftbound isn't a one-off experiment — it's a growing game with a roadmap.

The Jumbo Format, Explained

Sealed Riftbound comes in jumbo and slim boxes, and the jumbo is the bigger commitment: more packs, more chances at the set's standout cards, and a longer opening session. At $75, the Spiritforged Jumbo Booster Box sits at the top of the Riftbound lineup's per-box price, which is exactly what you'd expect from the full-size option.

Jumbo boxes suit the collector who knows what they want: maximum exposure to a set in one purchase. If you opened Origins and loved it, the jumbo Spiritforged box is the natural next step — a deep dive into the game's second chapter rather than a toe in the water.

Collecting a young game like Riftbound rewards the same patience that builds wealth: commit to the long game, protect what you own, and let momentum compound. If you'd like to train that mindset beyond the table, grab the free 7-Day Wealth Mindset Reset — seven short daily exercises for thinking like a builder, not just a buyer.
